The Stars traveled to North Putnam to take on a new MAC opponent for their final game of the season. The 7th Grade Stars only played 2 Quarters due to a limited roster for the Cougars. The Stars made the most of their short time defeating the Cougars 38-0. Carter Crahen opened the scoring by catching a TD pass from Bryson Potter. Elijah Pastore then recovered a fumble on Defense and returned it for a TD. Also scoring for the Stars: Austin Harlow (TD & Conversion), Gage Miller (TD & Conversion), Bryson Potter (TD), Wyatt Redman (Conversion), Gunner Shirley (Conversion). The Defense continued to shine Thursday night in addition to the Pastore defensive TD, TJ McKinney also had an interception that he nearly returned for a score, and the Stars forced and recovered several fumbles. The 7th Grade Stars finish their season 7-0. They outscored their opponents 214-8. The Western Boone 8th grade football team completed their 2025 campaign at North Putnam on Thursday night, securing a dominant 48-0 victory to complete a perfect 8-0 season. The Star's offense operated as a machine from the first play of the game on their way to a 40-point first half. Jackson Potter would lead things off, scoring on a rushing touchdown on the first play. He would add two more, one receiving and one rushing. Crew Gallimore would join the action with a receiving touchdown from quarterback Ryder Devol, while Connor Palmer would rush for two of his own and Lukas Harrison would add another. Harrison later added a passing touchdown, his first of the season. while Weston Richardson also gained his first touchdown, along with Drake Wagner on a conversion. The Stars would complete their scoring on the final conversion, when 7th grade quarterback Bryson Potter was called to the action to hit his brother Jackson on a slant for two more points. The defense and special teams' units would also dominate, securing several takeaways and not giving in or giving up anything for the entirety of the game, completely shutting down the opposing offense. In a mixed 7th/8th second half, the starting 8th grade offense was able to reunite and kneel out the game together one last time. The 8th grade group finishes their junior high careers 15-1, avenging their only loss last season by two scores in game one this season. With the conference switch, they beat 11 different teams doing it. They also achieved a running clock in seven of eight games this season. The entire roster of Jude Anderson, Corey Boggs, Cody Bolen, Jaxson Davis, Ryder Devol, Caleb Douglas, Tate Fields, Brannon Gadbury, Crew Gallimore, Lukas Harrison, Connor Palmer, Jackson Potter, Weston Richardson, Kamden Talbert, Drake Wagner, Blake Warmoth, as well as managers, Khloe Dunavent and Kimberly Ward, all had great seasons where they embraced their roles and made key contributions along the way.
