Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Cross Country team travelled to Shelbyville Saturday for the Jeremy Wright Memorial Small School Invitational. Aiden Lester was first to cross the finish line for the boys in 25th place out of 243 runners with a time of 18:42.45. Alex Crockett was next running for 38th place and a new season best time of 19:14.80, followed by Brennan Bivens in 69th place (20:06.82), Brayden Schick (20:56.24), Eli Bishop (21:22.61), Rex Stanley (21:33.12), Owen Young (21:44.01), Caleb Crockett with a new PR (23:45.69), and Andres Morales with a new PR (24:02.01). The boys team finished 7th out of 26 teams. In the girls race Joan Gearheart finished first for the Stars claiming the 25th place ribbon out of 163 runners. Abigayle Humphrey ran for 39th place (24:50.39), followed by Kate Higer in 42nd place (24:56.18), Harmony Gilbrech (26:37.55), Katrina Brewer (30.33.01), and Britney Richwine (30:54). The girls team finished 7th out of 16 teams.
