Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone girls golf team earned a strong runner-up finish at the Lady Mountie Invite, placing 2nd overall in a competitive field with a 364. The Stars overcame a slow start on the front nine, battling through the thick rough, and showed resilience by turning their play around on the back side. Leading the way was senior Ally Lewis, who claimed medalist honors with a school-record round of 75. Jada Scott posted a personal-best score of 93, while teammates Ila Stokes and Jaylee Dickerson each carded 98. Lexi Gregg contributed with a 107 to round out the team’s scoring. Head coach Katie Pilkington praised the team’s perseverance, noting their ability to adjust and finish strong despite challenging conditions. The Stars continue to build momentum as they progress through the season.
