Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Lady Stars softball team traveled to Danville to take on the Lady Warriors of Danville last night. While the Stars battled back to tie the game in the top of the 6th at 2-2, they came up short 2-5 after allowing 3 in the bottom of the 7th. Ally Lewis got the start allowing 5 earned runs on 9 hits striking out 10. The Stars threatened by moving runners into scoring position in each of the first 3 innings finally pushing a couple runs across the plate in the top of the 6th on a Kenzlei Mathews double. The Stars were lead at the plate by Raina Lutz and Mathews going 3 for 4 and 2 for 3 respectively in the contest. The Stars are back in action tonight as they try to split the series with the same Lady Warriors of Danville with a 5:30pm start.
