Last night the 7th grade girls volleyball team began their season against conference rival the Danville Warriors. The Warriors came out serving strong and were able to defeat the Stars 10-25, 9-25. After the game, Coach Ransom said, “ This was a good team that we played tonight and it gave our girls an opportunity to see how they stack up in the conference. We have been working hard in practice on our passing and this just reinforced why we spend so much time on fundamentals.” Highlights from tonight’s game were our middle hitters. Kaelynn Grant and Cali Scalf had some good hits and defended the net with some good blocks! In 8th Grade action, Reagan Harlos had a fantastic game with many great passes and saves. The team, as a whole, displayed tremendous effort with improving plays and serves by all. The Stars are back in action next Tuesday at home against Zionsville Middle School.
