Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Stars hosted the Southmont Mounties on Thursday night with the game ending in a 1 - 1 tie. The Stars were missing a couple of key players but other guys on the team stepped up to keep the team on track. Southmont struck first with a goal in the middle of the first half. The Stars hit back quickly with a goal of their own. Maddox Linton put the ball in the back of the net with Crosby Kinsler adding the assist. The rest of the game was controlled by the Stars with multiple scoring chances that just did not find the back of the net. The Stars defense stayed strong and kept the Mounties off the Stars side of the pitch most of the second half. Everyone contributed in a big way especially with energy and physical toughness. Landon Huffer, Eli Avila & Kaiser McCord all stepped up big with key guys missing in the lineup. The Stars get a rematch on Monday as they travel to Southmont to take on the Mounties again.
