The WeBo Lady Stars faced a tough non-conference challenge in Covington against the currently undefeated Covington Trojans, falling 5-0 on the night. After conceding an own goal from a corner kick with 25 minutes left in the first half, the Trojans took a 2-0 lead at halftime. In the second half, the Stars showed real resilience, maintaining a more open and spaced attack that kept the score at 2-0 for stretches before a penalty kick call with 27 minutes remaining helped Covington extend the lead to 3-0. Leading the way with grit and determination were senior captains Grace Maners, Alex Muir, and Brooklyn Vaughn, along with strong play in the midfield from Makenna Harrison. The Lady Stars will look to bounce back and get into the win column when they return to action hosting Rossville on Tuesday, 9/15/26.
