The varsity girls tennis team opened conference play Monday with a good 3-2 win over Southmont. 1S Adams, 2S Strong, and 2D Baird/Hayden all played great and won in straight sets. 3S Eisley Whiteley was defeated in two sets, while 1D played a back-and-forth match and lost in three. On the JV side, they won 3-2 as well with Ellie Whiteley, Gaines/Wagner, and Ogden/Clark all winning. The Stars also swept their exhibition matches, going 4-0. Congrats to Rustin/Baker on their first career wins! The varsity team is now 2-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play, while the JV team is 3-1 and 1-0 in conference. The Stars will travel to Attica Tuesday for a 4:30 start.
