By Jeremy Dexter | Feb 2, 2026 10:24 AM
The Western Boone Lady Stars traveled to North Montgomery on Tuesday night and battled through four quarters in a competitive matchup, ultimately falling 49–43. The Stars kept the game close throughout with strong team defense and balanced scoring. Western Boone showed resilience on the road, answering runs by North Montgomery and refusing to let the game slip away early. Junior Ally Lewis led the Stars offensively with 13 points, attacking the basket and knocking down key shots to keep Western Boone within reach. Senior Jaylee Dickerson followed close behind with 12 points, providing a steady presence and scoring in important moments. Ila Stokes added 10 points, continuing to be a consistent threat on the offensive end. Freshman Mady Munks and senior Isabella Fettig each contributed valuable minutes, while the Stars’ defensive effort helped limit easy looks and force tough possessions throughout the night. Western Boone stayed within striking distance into the fourth quarter, but North Montgomery was able to make enough plays down the stretch to secure the win. Despite the loss, the Lady Stars showed grit, balance, and determination on the road — qualities that will serve them well moving forward. Western Boone will play Delphi in the first round of Sectionals! Good luck to the Lady Stars
