The Western Boone Stars gave their seniors a night to remember Tuesday, rolling past the Parke Heritage Wolves 57–17 in a Senior Night dual held at Western Boone. Before the first whistle, the Stars honored seniors Isaiah Garland, Jacob Anderson, Jacob Smith, and Braedyn Matthews, along with team manager Isabel Adams, recognizing their years of commitment to the program and the standard they helped build. Once the wrestling started, Western Boone set the tone early and never let up. After a narrow loss at 175 pounds, Jacob Smith got the Stars on the board in a big way at 190, sticking Parke Heritage’s Johnathan Razaitis in 2:38 to swing the momentum back to the home side. From there, the Stars began to separate. David Puckett and Jackson Jones followed with a forfeit and a pin at heavyweight, and Western Boone took control of the team score. Although Parke Heritage picked up a pin at 120, the rest of the night belonged to the Stars. The middle of the lineup delivered one of the strongest stretches of the dual. Tyson Riner, Colton Mitchell, and Charlie Jones all collected forfeit wins at 126, 132, and 138 to widen the gap, setting the stage for the seniors to shine. Isaiah Garland made the most of his Senior Night moment, pinning Aiden Cole in just 1:10 at 144 pounds, drawing one of the loudest reactions of the evening. Jacob Anderson followed at 150 with a tough, well-earned 10–6 decision over Lane Helderman, showing control from start to finish. Lane Rose and Drew Williams added more points with forfeits, pushing the Stars past the 50-point mark. The night wrapped up with an exhibition bout, where Eli Ballentine needed just 21 seconds to pin Matthew Wood. By the time the final whistle blew, Western Boone had posted a commanding 57–17 win, giving the seniors the kind of sendoff every team hopes for on its home mat. Western Boone will next compete in the Monon Athletic Conference tournament on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at North Montgomery High School. Wrestling begins at 9:00am.
