The Western Boone Lady Stars earned a strong team victory over Clinton Prairie with balanced scoring and steady defense throughout the game. Western Boone set the tone early by pushing the tempo and playing aggressive defense, forcing turnovers and creating scoring opportunities. The Stars shared the ball well and found success attacking the basket while staying disciplined on the defensive end. Ila Stokes led all scorers with 15 points, knocking down shots from the perimeter and providing a spark when the Stars needed momentum. Ally Lewis added 10 points, using her speed and hustle on both ends of the floor to keep pressure on Clinton Prairie. Emerson Gott also finished with 10 points, contributing key baskets that helped maintain Western Boone’s lead. The Stars continued to execute in the second half, limiting Clinton Prairie’s offensive chances and capitalizing on defensive stops. Western Boone’s depth and teamwork played a major role in closing out the game and securing the win against the Gophers 52-49. The Stars' record is now 6-10. They will play on Tuesday against Crawfordville.
