7th grade Stars improve to 8-1 with Win over Cadets

Western Boone Seventh Boys Basketball improved to an impressive 8-1 record with a hard-fought victory over Cascade. The Stars came into the game with a strong sense of purpose and quickly established themselves as the dominant team. They jumped out to a commanding 20-0 lead in the first quarter, showcasing their exceptional offensive prowess. Throughout the game, they maintained their lead, ultimately securing a 36-19 victory. WeBo’s intense man-to-man defense played a crucial role in their success. It forced Cascade into turnovers, leading to several transition baskets that resulted in easy points. Additionally, WeBo’s ability to play through contact and maintain control of the ball throughout the game was a testament to their skill and determination. Blake Stokes and Casey Richardson were instrumental in handling Cascade’s defense. They effectively distributed the ball, creating opportunities for their teammates. Eli Pasture also contributed significantly to the team’s success. He played valuable minutes off the bench, showcasing his physical play and rebounding skills. Wyatt Redman emerged as the team’s leading scorer, despite playing in reduced minutes. Bryson Potter chipped in with seven points, while Corbin Eckert added five. Spencer Worrel and Casey Richardson each contributed four points, solidifying their roles as key contributors to the Stars’ victory. Blake Stokes rounded out the scoring with two points.
